e-Commerce Yemen Co. Ltd. has launched the new version of Hadhramaut Digital Gateway using its new ASP .NET2 based content management system that was developed in cooperation with the UK-based Info Care Co. Ltd.

Info Care .NET was created to offer more flexibility to the creativity process that is needed to provide flawless web content and design.

“This is a project that we have been working on for a few months now”, said Mr. Ahmed Baharoon, Managing Director of e-Commerce Yemen Co. Ltd., he added, “It’s an ongoing process of designing and testing that was inspired by the powerful features of Microsoft® ASP .NET2.0, we may be the only one in Yemen to adopt this advanced technology.”.

“This is a newborn for the Info Care family after Info Care .PHP which was a success in giant projects such as Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah e-Government Project which e-Commerce Group was a partner in” Mr. Baharoon continued, “Info Care .NET will help bring the level of interactivity of C2G to a higher peak and it will make it easier to broadcast, stream, upload or download multimedia services that our clients, government or private would offer in their web portals”.

Mr. Saleh Al-Sobaai, Vice Manager of e-Commerce Yemen Co. Ltd. has noted that the second version of Hadhramaut’s districs and government offices websites are in development for a release that will hold many new features directed towards citizens, expatriates, tourists and investors. “In this version we are focusing on districts, visitors will be involved more than ever in delivering information –in any form- to present the uniqueness of their own communities to the rest of the world”, Mr. Sobaai said.
